Since 2018, PEC has been performing contamination assessment on state-funded sites through the Low-Scored Site Initiative (LSSI) of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP). Site assessment is performed according to chapter 62-780, FAC and all field activities are performed in accordance with FDEP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). PEC has obtained over 20 site closures for our satisfied customers which has increased their property value, eliminated third party liability, and facilitated future sale or financing of the properties. PEC is a FDEP-approved contractor and utilizes the same assessment methodology on our non-program sites, so you can rest assured that the site assessment and associated reports will meet local, state, and federal guidelines.
PEC personnel have vast experience in the assessment of non-petroleum impacted sites. The impacted media includes sediments, soil, groundwater, and surface water. PEC has assessed sites impacted by solvents, metals, pesticides, herbicides, and various other contaminants. PEC has also performed these assessments at commercial (ie: dry cleaners) and industrial facilities.
